Friend of mine is currently taking it. Makes you SUPER thirsty. I "borrowed" hers, and I took it for like a week, just to see what it would do. I drank like 5 bottles of water a day..and I was nonstop-peeing. It curbed my appetite, but I'm not THAT big and it made me a little jittery -- like drinking way too much coffee.
I've been on Metabolife too, though...and the side-effects of that are rather disconcerting, which is why it's not as popular. I was bouncing off the walls. So then I returned it (the Metabolife). :P
However, for the week that I did take Xenadrine, I did notice I was really energetic, and I felt as though I was getting a really great workout because of the extra energy. But not so much energy that I was bouncing off the walls...hehe.
Though I've been working out regularly for the last couple years, I took the Xenadrine not really to lose weight -- because I don't think weight-loss can ever come in a bottle -- but so that I'd have more energy to lose more weight by working out for longer periods of time.
I currently work out about 3-5 times a week, and I always do at least 30-45 minutes of cardio each time to burn fat, but a lot of the time, I tire out DURING the process. The Xenadrine helped a bit. I think that's what it was basically designed to do -- it's not a FAT BURNER, but it gives you the little boost to really get into it and not zonk out. :)
I wouldn't take it forever, Dan...but to get into working out more and to give yourself that little energy boost (especially for cardio, like me), it's okay. :)
