One night while out at Chasen's of Beverly Hills with Bear Bryant, a waiter approached with a request.

"Coach McKay," he said. "Mr. Sinatra has a table in back and wants you to stop by."

McKay, who already had won two of his four national titles, didn't budge.

"You tell him to come up and see us," he said.

In October of 2001, J.K. McKay (John's son) and Pat Haden snuck onto
the Coliseum field and spread John McKay's ashes over the home sideline
for USC.

Since then Pete Carroll and the Trojans have not lost a home game

I know you don't watch college football so I'm going to teach you a little something. The USC Trojans call the LA Colliseum home, not the Rose Bowl. So they still haven't lost at home. ;)
