Interesting Tidbit of the Day...

Toad the Wet Sprocket was referenced in April's Stuff Magazine. When talking about the Dave Matthews Band writer Jamie Lowe had this to say when talking about the last three DMB albums...

"...weren't that bad in the context of those topsy-turvy times know as the mid-'90s. Indeed, the Dave Matthews Band was a Toad the Wet Sprocket in a Hootie & the Blowfish world."

If that isn't a compliment to my favorite band then I don't know what is!

Rick Riley from Sports Illustrated Reports that...

Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley are coming back to the NBA to play for the Washington Wizards playing for the league minimum...

Come on! Please no! You guys are retired stay away from the damn league. Jordan's agent says there is .001% he would ever come back. Rick Riley says it's a 90% chance he is coming back.

Lyrics

I'm not posting this for any reason. I just remember when I bought the Escape Club album Dollars and Sex. This song is amazing. The lyrics are probably some of the best I have ever heard.

I'll Be There
by The Escape Club

Over mountains, over trees;
Over oceans, over seas.
Across the desert and I'll be there.
In a whisper on the wind,
On the smile of a new friend;
Just think of me and I'll be there.
Don't be afraid my love,
I'll be watching you from above,
And I'd give all the world tonight to be with you.
Because I'm on your side
And I still care,
I may have died but I've gone nowhere.
Just think of me and I'll be there.

On the edge of a waking dream
Over rivers and over streams
Through the wind and rain,
I'll be there.
Across the wide and open sky,
thousands of miles I'd fly,
to be with you.
I'll be there.
Don't be afraid oh my love.
I'll be watching you from above.
and I'd give all the world tonight to be with you.
Because I'm on your side.
I still care.
I may have died but I've gone nowhere.
Just think of me and I'll be there.

In the breath of a wind that sighs;
Oh there is no need to cry.
Just think of me and I'll be there . . .
